Welcome to the Logan Library webpage!

Our main goal in library is to create a love of reading! Studies have shown that children who read at least 20 minutes a day do better in school. So pick up a book and dive into an adventure! Your child will have library book exchange, so please look at your child's schedule and be sure they have their library books on that day.

Your child will see the librarian every other week for 30 minutes for Library Instruction. Some of the library / research skills that she will be working on with your child this year are (grade level skills vary) : Care of Library Materials, Selecting Appropriate Reading Material, Creating an Interest in Reading, Card Catalog Information, Recognizing Fiction and Nonfiction Materials, Using Reference Books, Identifying Parts of a Book, Identifying Different Genres, Bibliographies, the Dewy Decimal System, and Internet Safety. I'm looking forward to a wonderful year of reading!
